I missed on a nice doe this past week because my sight had been knocked out of position from a previous outing a few days before. So I hear you. You live and you learn and you have a lot of season left. Good luck!!!

Been there and unfortunately done that. My advise is to make sure you don't grip the bow...instead cradle it. I had a bear at 20 yards 3 years ago and I gripped the bow (excited) and the arrow pulled to the right just enough to go from the perfect hit to a shoulder hit. Luckily the bleeder blade on the Steel Force head cut the artery and he blead to death on the run out.

Dont worry.Iam sure everyones been there, some more then others,do like it was said before, when you have the pin on target squezzzzzz the triger and make it like your shooting your target, all that matters is what the pin is on.....
Beside now you can hunt longer......

Remember my first draw perfectly. Twenty yards, broadside, on my pin , release, and SLAM it hits a tree five inches above it's back. There was a spider web across the arrows path. Just enough to deflect it upward. I was depressed for weeks.

Been there last year, but for somewhat different reasons. Hoping to put the fix on that this year.

Sounds like you know what happened and learned from it. That's what it's all about.

Your first and probably not your last. Like everyone has said, learn from it and do better next time.
If we didn't get all excited inside, what fun would it be!
