Good Rubber Boots

Hey All,

I am in need of a new pair of boots....I have had the same Lacrosse Alpha Burly's for like 3-4 years now. These are a little lose around the ankles.

What do you all use and find to be the most comfortable.

I think I will go with the 1200 gram insulation again for New England winters!

I was looking at the Cabela's Comfort-trac....any one use them?

Have you tried the new Alpha Burlys? A buddy of mine picked them up along with a pair of the Dream Season boots and actually prefers the newer style Alpha Burlys.

I had the opposite feeling. I loved my old Alpha Burlys and decided I'd buy a new pair as my lining is coming loose on one of the old ones. Well the new Alpha Burlys to me are HEAVY. what's up with that? They make an Alpha Burly Lite but I didn't like that either. They screwed up a good boot by deciding to offer it in New and Improved.[&:][:'(]

I love my Mucks. They are the most comfortable rubber boot I've ever worn. I cut one of them above the ankle a couple of years ago on a jagged limerock but they are easily patched with 3M's 5200 marine sealant. Cabelas sells a similar neoprene boot for about half the price of the Mucks. A buddy boughta pair from them last year and they seem to be pretty good boot as well.

I use the lacross range uninsulated ankle fit for early season and the lacross 400 grm.insulated when it gets a little colder.
