I'm betting spine shot. I've seen them initially freak out, then calm down until you go up to shoot them again.

Let us know man we are curious. Glad you found her.

Shot was not good, pretty high. It looks like it deflected down in her then the arrow broke off inside her a she was a mess! The further she went the more the Slick Trick tore her insides up! Good blood where I hit her and leading into the swamp. Then the blood was every 5 yards or so, but good when I found it! She only bled when she stopped. Probably went 200 yards, towards the river! It was a long night and even longer drag out!

Congratulations!

Was she walking on all fours legs?

Did you find her alive or dead?

Thanks, I did learn something very important from this, I'm not hunting in the warmer weather any more like I have been. To much can go wrong like it did and it wasn't fun. I got pretty lucky, I went back put earlier than I planned, good thing because it was getting warmer as the night went on. Thats when I started to freak out! She didn't die right away either. Her final spot where she laid down was all scuffed up to dirt where she had back struggling! I was surprised on haw far she went, if she would have crossed the river I would probably still be looking for her! I brought bags of ice with me and had them in the cooler so as soon as I cleaned her out I dragged her to the field and drove my truck on state land where I'm not supposed to, I said hell with it I'll take the ticket if I get caught! I registered her and she is now at the Butcher!

I found her dead but not for long! There were spots where she stopped and laid down that was covered in blood and then I would follow the stumble marks to the next blood! She was hurting with that Broadhead in her tearing her up, thats why she was headed for the river. It made bad jello inside her!
