cheap straps with my new stand
 

i went and bought a walmart 100 dollar two person ladder stand yesterday put it up today.

I bolted it all togather yesterday so i did not have to in the woods. It seemed like a good stand made by ameristep but the two ropes and ratchet straps were cheap the ropes that hold the ladder to the tree just seemed to strach out when we tighted it. and the straps were small

has anyone eles noticed this or is it just i have all ways bought good rope and ratchet straps i have a four dollar walmart rope i was going to use in place of the cheap ropes but i wont one that is camo before i change it

I read your other post about how easy the stand went up. I also read the part about how big you are. If it were me, I would spring for the more significant ratchet straps and thus the piece of mind.

i planded on it i am real pleased witht he stand it held me good when i got in it . just kinda worryed me about the starps i even thought to call ameristep and tell them to up grade

i plan to g tomorrow and see if i can find some camo ratchet straps i know i can get camo rope good luck to al and my we all be safe except for the putchers and thieves out ther well i gusses i hope they stay safe just get cought
