Sight adjustment
I have a question on adjusting my pin sights. When sighting in my bow this fall I have had to adjust my pin settings vertically due to increasing the poundage and new arrows. Now I am finding all of my shots going left. I know that I have to move the sight, just not sure which way. Please keep in mind, I shoot LEFT HANDED, if that makes a diff. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

RE: Sight adjustment
Chase the arrow......shooting left, move pin to the left.

RE: Sight adjustment
When you changed arrows did you change the spine?

RE: Sight adjustment
I'm also left handed, but like mobohuntr said. You just follow your arrows. If your shots group up, move your sights up. If your shots groups to theleft, move your sights to the left. You get the idea.;)

RE: Sight adjustment
Tex,
Yes, I went to a larger diameter and heavier arrow. 8.1 to 9.9 and increased my bow by 5 or so pounds. Everything is grouping together, just left. |
RE: Sight adjustment
That change could very well explain the "why". Like others have said, "chase the arrow". If hitting left move the sight left.

RE: Sight adjustment
I think you get the picture but I'll say it anyway "always chase the arrow".

RE: Sight adjustment
Always follow your arrow, make sure your arrows are spined correctly for the new poundage and don't peak after your shot, FOLLOW THRU!!!! Check your paper tune, analize the hole made by your arrow, retune and try again

RE: Sight adjustment
By going to a heavier arrow the mass weight doesn't matter for the horizontal. Did you change to a stiffer spined arrow too? Doing this and adding draw weight to the bow probably means you have to retune the setup. Sometimes it's just not as simple as adjusting the sight

RE: Sight adjustment
move sights the way the arrow goes
