HOYT BOW

I am looking at a Hoyt MagnaTec ZR200 what do you think about this bow and what do you think it would be worth. Also how does it compare to a mathews.

Why does it have to compare to a Mathews? Many might say it's better, many might say it's not, who cares.

The MagnaTec was a major seller for Hoyt. The magnesium riser was much cheaper than the aluminum risers of the top of the line Hoyts of those years. The MagnaTec came with several limb configurations, the top being the XT2000 limbs, the ZR200 were less expensive. New they were if I remember correctly around $350.

The bow was/is slightly heavier than the aluminum riser Hoyts but again, it sold volumes because it was a great bow at the right price for most hunters.

Now, bare bow it wouldn't be worth more than $150 but honestly $100 would be more realistic. Last year I sold my VorTec to a friend for $150 and the Magnetic was a much less expensive bow.

Like Rob said.... Hoyt makes a great bow. Why must it be compared to a mathews???? Don't get me wrong, Mathews makes a great bow.. But so do alot of other companies.

It is a great bow for the price i had the mtsport which was very similar and i sold that for 100 to a freind 2 years ago but it depends on the cams. I liked mine alot it was a great bow If i was to compare it to a mathews i would say that it is probly smoother shooting but with that you are sacrificing alot of speed its a great bow for beginersand hunters who want a bow that will last along time i think i had mine for 4 yearsmust have shot thousands of arrows out of it. but then i wanted to get more competitive in 3ds soI bought a new hoyt.

I agree with the others, Hoyt makes an excellent boy! Most of the new Bows nowadays are good bows! What ever feels good to you is what matters. Don't put much thought on what other people think about your bow!
