RE: Tips needed.
Wow, thanks for all the great info. I actually scouted last week and spooked 5 deer, 4 does and 1 buck. I'm not sure if they were beddding or feeding (it was around 8 in the morning). I really don't want to make the mistake of spooking them as I enter my stand. I do plan to be as scent free as possible, but I'm still unsure howI should enter with thedifferent wind directions. Hopefully if I follow some of your tips I can bag my first deer this year. Thanks for the help.

Practice, practice, practice -- it's not enough to shoot a nice tight group and call it a day. This close to the season, shoot every day if you can, if not, then shoot as often as you can. This is my first bow season too (starts in two weeks) and I shoot at least six days a week.
The more you practice shooting, the more comfortable you will be taking the shot when it counts, and the more likely you are to take a high percentage shot. This applies to rifle, muzzleloader, and pistol shooting too. You can't just pick up your weapon of choice for the first time on opening day and hope for the best.

Lots of good advise for ya so far. I can add that I see more deer in a tree stand 20 feet up then I do in my blind. I like the tree better. But I can sit all day long in my blind with no problem, with the stand I can only take it for about five hours max and then I get the itch to leave.
