Early Season Call??
 

Hey guys,

I am hunting the big woods up North and I was looking for a call to use to maybe try and bring some deer in...bucks or does.

I am not sure if calling blind is a good idea??? Maybe I should only resort to using it when I hear something that wont show itself out of the brush???

Anyway what is a good early season fawn bleat or something along those lines that anyone has had success with?

i've had some success with the fawn in distress bleat. specifically "the can" in the early season. but generally i prefer to stay away from calls in the early season.

I am with game on this one. Wait closer to Peak Rut and kick that can.

I use the can everytime I hunt, and 8 out of 10 times I see does. I may be scaring off bucks but I don't know. I do know it does not scare the does.

There used to be a call caled K'Meer deer--not the attractant, but a call. I haven't seen it in a while, but it makes a contact call that all deer make.I have used it early, and it worked on does only for me.

Last Saturday, i watched a couple of does about 100yds away. I hit the can and they turned and ran away. I'm done with calls early!
