Best broadhead??

I recently purchased some new Easton Axis slim tech. 400.I usually use Muzzy 100 but I cannot get them to fly right. So far the only broadhead that I can get to work is a Slick Trick 100.I was thinking about try Muzzy 85gr. , but am not sure.Has anyone used these arrows and what is a good broadhead to shoot with them??I shoot a Switchback XT at 64lbs.

Give the G5 Montec a try. They are not cheap, but I believe well worth the money. I shot 3 deer with them last year with excellent results.

Spin test your arrows to ensure proper ferrule alignment with the shaft. The tune your bow to shoot which ever head you like. That will be the best one. Don't expect broadheads to fly the same as field points till you really fine tune the bow to do so.

I'll second that, mine fly true. Their only drawback is they tear the heck out of foam blocks when you use their practice head.

Why drive yourself crazy and waste a bunch of money? Just use Slick tricks, they are great broadheads.

I use the Easton Axis 400's and shoot G5 Montecs. I am far from an expert, but there is more to it than the arrow brand/model you are using. Have you spine tested your arrows? Is your bow tuned? At 64 lbs you may be under-spined. You may need to shoot the 340's rather than the 400's, but it also depends on your draw-length and arrow length. I'm shooting 63 lbs with 28.5 in arrows with 125 gr tips. I'm slightly under-spined, but I get good groups with a true flight.

G5 Striker flys the same as my field points.

I just switched to the G5 Montec. They work good for me but I am not using the same setup. Unfortunately each setup is different unless you find someone with the same arrows, fletchings, bow, poundage, and rest. I use a drop away rest if you don't they will fly different. Unfortunately it will probably be trial and error until you find one that flies right. Try the broadheads on some of your other arrows. I have seen where a practice arrow flies good and put it broadhead on it and it doesn't seem the same but put the same broadhead on a different arrow and it flies straight. Once you find one that works stick with it.

Essentially spine testing is making sure your arrows have the proper flex based on tip weight, total arrow weight, arrow length, draw length, draw weight, among other factors. I would check out some of the threads in the "Technical" forum. Everything I learned about spine I learned from reading posts there. There are some smart folks over there. Do a search on "spine testing" and you should get some good results.

Fixed Head: NAP's Razorkback and no others
Mechanical Head: NAP's Spitfire, but there are other good options

Both of these heads have flown true to my sights when sighting in with field tips.
