First words
What is the first thing you say to your hunting buddy after you have shot a deer....? Or what is some of the terminology you use to let others know you shot a deer?
|
RE: First words
Sometimes the infamous BBD (Big Buck Down) before the TV garbage, Antlers on the Ground, Drew Blood, I'm Tagged Out, or some other slangs that come out the top of the head.;)
On turkeys, it's always Black Hawk Down. |
RE: First words

Kill, kill, kill.............the White-Tail!!

RE: First words
I've called my Dad and asked if the Deer pick-up service is open for business.
|
RE: First words
when and where there is cell service, I call my brother and tell him. Usually "I got him" are the first words.
When I get home I usually walk through the door and my boys are always there to meet me....asking me "did youkill something dad?".. which is usually NOPE considering I get to hunt so many days...but when I do.. I just smile and say.."come take a look".. or "lets go, we have a deer, elk, bear to track.." |
RE: First words
hes down baby,smoked em,yessssssssssss
|
RE: First words
If I'm hunting with someone else, the first words out of my mouth when I see them (if I kikked a deer) is..."I got one" I don't know why but that's what I say.
If I am talking to anyone else it's either " I killed one" or again, "I got one" |
RE: First words
after i shot and am waiting to track??
only got that chance once. first instinct was to call someone...immediatly. dont know who i was gunna call first, but the cell phone flew right out of my hand. when i got my phone i either called dad or my buddy that lived down the road. remember telling dad "i got ya some sausage!" he said "buck or doe?" told him a pretty decint buck..and told him the story and the shot looked a little higher than i wanted but looked like a pass through so i should be home shortly. when i called my buddy i told him i hit one and to gather up the coonhunting(miner style) lights and id be at his house shortly...on the way to his house i passed my other buddy cuttin grass and pulled over and put my hands on top of my head like antlers and gave him thumbs up. heck i dont think he moved the tractor till 2 days later lol. this year, unless i need the coon hunting lights, i think im going to keep it secret till its in the truck. it was nice having tracking partners...exspecially in that case. went from the highest of highs to lowest of lows and i was pretty useless. without them i would lost the trail at 100yds. we made it 400 as a team. then when its tagged i will start the phone chain...dad is always first unless i know hes sleeping or working. |
RE: First words
Me and a few of my friends have the saying,
Brown is down |
RE: First words
I am still waiting on that moment with a bow...but I am sure my dad will be the first. He is usally the first I see when I get to the house.
With the gun, it is whoever shows up first. It is usually, got a buck over there, or a doe over there...or I got a couple, ones here and ones there. ;) |
