Bowstring fraying after 2 days

I'm pissed off , my bow has gotta go back to the shop . The Custom string and cablesi had fitted on Saturday has started to Rub through the thread and its starting to fray the cable ( only shot off 80 arrows ) , its catching the lower cam somewhere . So i phoned Merlin up to explain and they said even though ibought the bow secondhand, they will sort the problem out and replace or fix any faults found ( cuz it still would'a been covered by warranty ) .
I've emailed them 2 pictures to show the problem , hopefully they get it sorted soon .

Oh and the bush in my quiktune 800 has busted , so i need new rest .... any suggestions , i'm using Quickspin speed hunters so i think W/B won't work .What else is good .

Dave

Damn man, sorry to hear about the troubles. You sound like me, if it can go wrong it does and does so right before season. As far as rests go, I like the QAD ultra rest, its a full containment and a dropaway all in one. I personaly am shooting the cobra double diamond dropaway, its awsome. You can adjust height, lift, drop speed, windage pretty much everything its a great rest for about 75 for camo and about 10 dollars cheaper for a black one. Hope this helps and good luck.

well i took my bow back and they sorted out the serving on the cables and put me a string d-loop on instead of the tru-nok i had .While i was their i got a Quicktune 1000 rest for now , untili make my mind up on which rest to haveproper ( they gave me a really good deal ..50% off ). Oh and i came back with a Scott little bitty goose wrist release and it is sweet and it all works together really well , cuz at 20 yds i had arrows in 1" circle . They gave me a great deal on the release too .

Chuffed .... i think so :)

Merlin guys are great

Dave

My bud just went through something simliar. After about ten shoots his started to frey. It ended up being a small bur in the cam grove that the shop filed off and he has had no problems since
