Opener in MO

Shawn and I headed out opening morning. We were actually fortunated enough to both have camera men so we decided we would spread out and hunt this deer that we had been seeing almost every morning.

Turns out (of course) he decides to change hes route opening morning! [:@] Shawn and Jeff got some video of him but he was about 200 yards away....

That evening Shawn and i slipped into the stand two try and get one of these two bucks:

They didnt show up and when this doe came in offering a 15 yard shot Shawn just couldnt resist :DSo here is our first deer down this year.

I hunted this morning with no luck again, so hopefully we will get a shot at a good buck tonight...ill keep you guys updated

Yup, you might as well do you herd maintanance when the opportunity presents herself. Healthy looking doe.

I haven't launched an arrow as of yet. Saw deer every time out except opening morning. And I thought that was the hot spot. Maybe this evening.:)

That's HUGE!! I'm taking my son out this afternoon. He's 12 and I hope he can bag his first bow deer. We'll see how it goes. I'll have the camera rolling if all goes according to plan. I'll get out there after my son gets a few chances.

Yeah, we will be taking advantage of almost every oportunity that presents itself to thin the doe herd of course keeping bucks first in our mind. If its late and a doe offers a shot, more then likely shes going to be fed some carbon :)
