Blue tongue?????

What is this? I might have been living in a hole or something for the past year ,but I haven't heard much about this. Is it in Ohio?

It's a virus trasmitted by a bug, see here:

Hopefully it'll cool off soon and we should see it curtailed.

[/align]Thanks spur. So it seems those darn midges are the problem. I wonder if they can't be controlled by spraying.

I hunted a place in Northern Missouri that the deer got it and took outs alots of deer in the 80's, It got so bad the olny deer you seen were dead ones, but now days there are ton's of deer again. It took 2 to 3 years before before it was any good hunting again. In fact from about 2 to 5 years after I started to see some good bucks now all you ever see is does and crappie looking small bucks it's real hard to get a good one. To many does.[:@]

I dunno, I've only really been seriously hunting for 5 years and this is the first year I've heard of it being a problem.......and it only seems to be in certain areas.....I'm in Southern MD and as far as I know we haven't had a problem this year.

Yeah, Ohio is getting smacked by the gnat. Gallia, Jackson, Meigs, and Lawrence counties are finding dead deer all over the place.

Same thing happened 4 years ago with the drought.
