Reward offered for information on illegally killed elk
LITTLE ROCK - The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the poaching of a bull elk in Newton County. The elk was killed in the Wallace Fields area on Newton County Road #51 (Pruitt-Yardell Road). The poacher removed the head from the bull elk and left the meat to spoil. The bull was killed during the late evening hours of Dec. 3 or early morning of Dec. 4 during the sleet and ice storm. They can't be real serious about catching the poachers if they can only come up with $1,000 reward. Heck, they'll offer that around here to find out who killed a squirrel in the neighborhood. Ahhhhh, the land of the liberals.

It doesn't sound like much of a reward ,but then again why do people have to be rewarded for doing something to uphold the law anyway .
