I have my 4wheeler on the trailer every time I go bowhunting--I've got bad knees and a bad back--so dragging is out of the question--I also use it to bait my stands, have not found it to spook deer--Have drove it in baited a stand, drove back out, walked in, got in my stand and seen deer a hour or two later--It seems to work for me--But I also limit the riding to the above during hunting season!

I ride my quads all over the place all year long. I found that if its night the deer just stand there and watch me go buy at like 10 yards...amazing

If its day they schooch out of the way some and then watch me go by.

If you just kept your throttle even and never rev it when you see deer and don't change the sound your quad makes many deer just watch you drive by like a car.

I have drove right between 3 does before I could have hit with a long stick and they didn't move cause I kept the trottle just perfectly steady and didn't look at them in the eyes.

If deer are used to seeing and hearing them then they won't leave the area but I wouldn't plan on parking it within at least 1/2 mile of the stand until you need to haul one out.
