Rattle bags,calls,stands,scents and decoys
These are all ways of baiting deer in to get a closer shot right!Soeveryone that uses these tactics,are basically baiting deer to come in closer and should not be proud if they get a pope and young buck!I feel anything that helps you make a clean kill on any deer and that is legal is ok with me,how do you feel?

My question is...who are you or anyone else to determine that anyone shouldn't be proud of any kill that they make?

high power rifles
modern ammo
modern bows
bows (period)
arrows
broad heads
scopes
sights
And in the case you are trying to make....um
spears
spear heads
knife
...listen....all of these things were "modern" at some time and point. If you want to fuss and argue this topic.....the ONLY way to get out and kill a deer is with YOUR BARE HANDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree.I just put this post here cause people were saying you can't be proud of deer shot over bait!It's legal to bait in MI so I bait!I'm not the one getting down on people for this!!!!!TY

If you want to use calls,rattlin bags,doe pee,bait,use it.Just have fun and dont worry what others think.Most likely theirjust mad they cant bait.If we all did the same things we would never learn anything from each other.

Ok ... now that you added all of the above , then thats what my choice is but I agree with Red Lion it isn't baiting it's using diffrent tactics to LURE deer into range.
Baiting is when you put some type of food such as apples , carrots , sugar beets , corn or some type of mineral and salt lick.

Antler king?
Buck Grub?
Sure!! all of it!
What else is bait?
Doe urine?
Buck urine?
A scrape?
A rub?
A natural funnel?
A trail?
Calls?
Decoys? (I think you should look up the definition of Calls and Decoys if you dont think they are "bait")
ITS ALL BAIT!!! Not so much a treestand, but a corn field is man-made, a food plot is man-made, a decoy is man-made, its all meant to bring the animals to where you are.
Essentially "baiting" them, whether you can admit it or not, or whether your state allows it or not, YOU ARE BAITING, in one form or another.
