would you shoot or not?

Saturday is opener here in minnesota, this was last year twords the end of the year-twords the end of the season I had already taken my buck(one buck only in Mn.)but I had 2 more doe tags to fill, along comes a big doe walkingout of the woods into the field I was watching,so I drew back on her then two youngin`s walked out right behind her hoppin around lookin all cute(and tasty) so I let down and let her go but did get a cool experience out of the deal, they walked to within 8-10 feet of me without seeing me-would you shoot? The fawns where spotted and small(second birth fawns)

This is the part that intrigued ME. What month was it? "Second birth"? I'm not familiar with that term.

this may or may not be true in all areas of the country(I`m no scientist) but in mn. you will see fawns born at two differant times of the year, vissably differant in size and maturaty

I can only speak for me but No i would not shoot. I would sit back and enjoy watching them and keep hunting for maby a single doe or atlest one without spots.

I know nothing about that particular topic.I'm hunting to fill up my freezer. I have extra antlerless tags. In the situation in GMMATs thread, I would have no problems takingthe doe and maybe even one of the young 'uns. This, in my opinion, is different. If they're that young, I think there'd be a good chance they wouldn't survive without momma. No, I wouldn't take this shot. That's just the way I see it.

I've been hunting in the woods twice this year and have only seen the same three deer. A doe and two fawns w spots. I passed both times. I know that if the I took the doe the fawns would stay right by her side has I tracked her and I'd have to run them off. It's not worth it to me.
