RE: scent free??
yeah those extra large ziplocks come in very handy. I also put a little bit of baking soda in the bottom of each bag. I make my own scent killer so i am not worried aboot using a ton of it ( i can make it for aboot $2-3 a gallon!) All my clothes go into the ziplocks after they come out of the dryer ( i dont air dry as i live in the city and dont think that would work too well, but normally will wash a couple towels with sportwash and the put those in the dryer without anything else to get rid of smells in the dryer) and then the ziplocks go into sealed rubbermaids. Everything is in its own ziplock (pants, shirts, long underwear, etc...) I wear a pair of b-ball shorts and a t-shirt, and strip down to nothing before putting on my hunting stuff, doesnt matter how cold it is, you get over it pretty quick

Yes, I do the same thing. And sometimes it is pretty cold. I don’t wear any of my hunting clothes in my vehicle. I get out and change clothes in the open air. Does it make a difference; I think so. And since I think so, I’d feel like I’d failed before I ever got in there if I wavered from my plan. It’s not that bad though, you just need to put the stuff away correctly so that base layers are on top and so on until you get to the outer layer. And I’ll usually take my suburban instead of the truck if it is really cold, so that my bags and tubs are in the back where they’re being heated on the way.

Hey Killer_Primate, don't you freeze your butt off when climbing into your clothes and boots that you keep in the woods? Do you do that in the dead of winter as well?

I've developed Scentaphobia this year......When I wash my clothes, I handle them wearing rubber gloves......Airtight bags, full compliment of DDW, scent lok, the whole enchilada....Air out my backpack, spray it down, spray down my stand, bow, arrows......everything......
I feel like Jack Nicholson in "As Good as it Gets" I have a little OCD going on this year I think, and I'm finding it rather stressful.....[8D]

Went to storing my clothes seperatly in their own bag and then placing like clothes in a bag that way when I go to get some out I don't contaminate the rest. After all is said and done and I'm in the woods I use hawgs vanishing hunter. It also is safe for your mouth. Gear is store in the wood shed next to the chicken coop. Clothes/ guns and bows in a sealed locked room.
