Rage 2 blade test results

With all the talk about rage heads I decided to post the results of the 2 blade version and 3 blade heads together on the website. I also have the new piston point head results up on the subscribers side for those who are interested. http://www.broadheadtests.com/NEWHEADS.html

Good stuff. So you found the Crimson Talons to hold up well under testing? I'm glad, as I am going to try these out his year. They shoot extremely well for me, just havne't taken any game with them yet.

Thanks!

Once again, excellent report 5 shot. I couldn't decide whether to use my Hammerheads or Rage this weekend.....You've helped in that decision......Thanks again.

I doubt the hammerheads scored any better.

I am also curious of the grim reapers score?

well i will not be shooting steel barrels and I will not be trying to shoot threw plywood I killed several deer with the rage 2 blade and had no blades break yet. I shot a few deer with the same head and no blades broke! So im sticking with them oh yea HUGE entrance and exit holes that dont seal over!!

Keep in mind that these tests only compare how heads do compared to one another. I can tell you that other heads of similar size and design have done better in the tests. That said I did get excellent results with a rage 2 blade on a medium size doe last year. The shot was " unconventional" to say the least, but the head did it's job.

For one plywood, and steel barrels are not exactly skin, meat and bones! I took the rage 2 blade antelope hunting last month and was very impressed. 35 yard shot bow set at 64# double lung shot right behind the shoulder, broke ribs on entry and exit and arrow landed 20 yards on the other side of the antelope. Most important thing for me was that there was a 2 inch hole at entry and exit, and the broadhead was in perfect condition.

Well, thanks for taking the time to do tests like these. I just bought the rage blades. Can't wait to drop a deer. Hopefully I don't end up in the shoulder blade;)

I dont believe the plywood and steel drum are intended to imitate an animals hide and bones, etc.

It is supposed to show flaws in the broadhead which could be an issue if you make an imperfect shot and hit an animal in the shoulder, etc.

Keep up the good work 5 shot!
