Most of my trees are 20-25feet. But I have a couple spots in particular that are at the base of some steep terrain so I climb to 30-35 and that puts me about eye level with the deer traveling on this steep path.

You skipped probably the best positions,20'-25'

Too low and you get spotted. Too high and shot angle sucks.

20-25 is a good compromise.

Higher also helps with scent.

Bingo!! My thoughts exactly!! 20-25 is my range normally

I have went way over 40 feet before , but I was like in a bottom between 2 ridges. Plus I was gun hunting, but It would have probably been 20 feet above the ridge tops. Usually I hunt between 20 and 25

I usually hit a branch or fork in the tree before I can get much higher than 20 feet.
