Deer Decoys
Any one here use em?
How affective are they? |
RE: Deer Decoys
I bought one to use this year. Hopefully in a couple of months I will be able to tell you they work great. Good luck this season!

RE: Deer Decoys

RE: Deer Decoys
Well, Did you get the deer?

RE: Deer Decoys
I had the same question. I have been thinking about getting one, but wondered how useful they are. I have seen one which is hollow inside so you can store the legs, head, and antlers inside for transport. That seems pretty slick.
If anybody has any experience, let's hear it. What brands are functional, useful, and easy to carry in and set up? |
RE: Deer Decoys
I use a Carry-lite. I love it. Had good sucess with it. I think the visual is a must. I have called in good bucks without the decoy and they won't always commit.

RE: Deer Decoys
Haven't really tried using decoys much. There is a good artical in the bowhunters magazine, whitetail special 2007. The artical is called "Decoy Delemma" page 34, by Dana Coldren. He goes into pretty good detail on 3-d and 2-D decoys.Hehas been experimenting with all kinds and goes into pretty good detail of how it's worked for him. If you can get a copy and check it out may answer some of your questions. After reading it I may give it a try. Good luck!
