RE: Anyone hear from GMATT yet?
For the record, Dave (And I posted this in my team thread......)....I appreciate the long, courteous reply. I also want to point out that....if you'll go back....I note she was slightly quartering AWAY.
Thanks again for the reply. I had no intentions of bringing this over to the forums.....but it happened...and I'm not ashamed of anything I did. I just wish the outcome had been different. She deserved better. |
RE: Anyone hear from GMATT yet?
T answer the BH question....it was a muzzy 3 blade 125gr. The BH was nicked on one blade....sort of looked "serrated (sp?)". I thought this might be from contacting the spine.....but it coud have easily been from the ground impact after the shot. I simply don't know. Arrow was otherwise unscathed.
I can take a pic of it if anyone's interested. |
RE: Anyone hear from GMATT yet?
I'm getting old and read crap wrong. Maybe I should put on my glasses. I figured a lot of people aren't going to read that long team thread. It's always good for folks to learn. The broadhead is definiitely a solid choice. Like you say, the knick could come from a couple places. I thought you did a great job hanging in there so long with little or no blood. Might serve as a lesson to others that perseverance does pay off even if in this case the results was not what you wanted. It can take a long time to find a deer 200 yards away even when you know which direction to start.

RE: Anyone hear from GMATT yet?
Bummer you didn't find your deer! It happens to the best of us either way it sucks! Your right time was not in your favor, the heat is our biggest enemy! I won't even hunt if its in the 70's, no fun, WAY too many mosquitos and if your deer doesn't drop within sight your hating it!
