RE: Don't forget the MOST important item.....
I always, always velcro my release to my bow now. I usually buy an extra one if we are going out of state to hunt.

RE: Don't forget the MOST important item.....
:DLast year my dad forgot to buy his licence. He tore apart everything he packed and called his wife to try and find it. It's a good thing he didn't shoot anything.
ORIGINAL: FRALEY My cousin forgets his license every other year up northWi for gun season.[:@] |
RE: Don't forget the MOST important item.....
I didn't realize I forgot my bow until I was all sprayed down, with my treestand and daypack on my back, and flashlight already strapped to my head.
That's one of those moments in time, and feelings... that words really can't describe. [:-] |

RE: Don't forget the MOST important item.....
ive left college and got half way home on a friday, hoping to be on stand by 3 at the latest and realized there aint no bow in my truck. at school i lock it up at the campus police department. well...when all you think about thursday and friday is gettin on stand friday after class, well...you tend to be in a hurry. done it a couple times lol...its a 2 block drive to the police station..but i do forget lol.
once i went to go squirrel hunting when i was 16. was taking my 22lr. grabbed a box of shells and the small game coat and opened the case to make sure it was the 22. scope, wood stock..yep...get there, i got a 308...i felt like a fool. just by peeking at the rifle they look similar..same color wood and similar scope... |
RE: Don't forget the MOST important item.....
ORIGINAL: GMMAT I waxed my bowstring last night....and attached my release aid to the bow. It's set.;) The night before opening day of fall bow 3 years ago, Iclipped my release to my bow string right on top of the bottom camand set iton top of my case for the next morning. That night my brother and his girlfriend came for dinner. While I was cleaning up my bro went and pulled my bow back and therelease wrapped around the cam, cracking it.....as well as popping the string off. Stupid on my part for leaving it on top of the case, and clipping the release to my string.Needless to say I learned two lessons. I spent that Saturday at the pro-shop instead of the field. |
RE: Don't forget the MOST important item.....
