A friend of mine took his son out gun hunting for deer a couple of years back. They drove two hours south..got out and realized his son forgot his bullets. He had him make a sign and stand out on the side of the road asking for bullets. I think some guys stopped feeling sorry for him[>:] and gave him a couple.

Making a list and checking it twice.

Easiest thing to do is make a list. (my wife would be proud of me making that statement) I learned many many years ago to make a list. I was scuba diving down on the jetties in Panama City Beach FL. We got back home and started washing our gear when I realized I had left my weights on the beach. From that point on I made a list and checked it before we left home and before I packed out. I never left anything again. I will be honest...I don't do that for hunting because I have everything together but it is so easy to do in the heat of the moment to get out there.

Making a list and checking it twice.

Also, if you have a thumb release you may want to buy an extra one and put in your backpack or whatever you carry up to the stand. I dropped mine last year but fortunately it stayed on the stand platform.
