Chain saw on a stick

I just bought a new pole saw last night for use around the house. As soon as my BIL saw it he asked if he could use it this weekend to cut lanes when he hangs his stands, (he always waits until the last minute). This is a use I hadn't even considered when I bought it. All of my stands have been up for a while now but next year I bet I put that chainsaw on a stick to use out there!

Man that soundsreally dangerous to me. Rigging up a chainsaw to be continually running and cutting stuff way over your head? Yikes

You can get gas weed trimmers with removable shafts for different attachments. I have a Craftsman with a pole chainsaw attachment that works real slick. Downside is that they don't come close to the length you can get with a manual pole saw.

Would be nice for that. I have an extendable/collapsing Corona tool I use for that purpose.

What is really nice if you live in the south or anywhere with super thick cutovers is a gas powered hedge trimmer. Makes cutting through all the thorns and regrowth a snap. Easy paths to walk, easy shooting lanes, and the deer will walk them too! The machete or bush axe has its place, but man is a hedge trimmer the way to go!

The poles are just not high enough for me. I got one of these off e-bay a few years back and like it a lot.
