I have passed by them in the woods but never really tracked them down to their spots.

wouldnt waste my time. i can tell a couple things about people blazing a trail through the woods 98% of the time.

1. they dont know much about hunting
2. they dont know much about the land they are hunting
3. their stands are most likely in spots that i wouldnt want to be in
4. their stands arent usually very far off the road or trail you found their markers starting

thats generally what i find to be true. knowing where other hunters are hunting usually help my odds of success. plan accordingly and hunt smarter than they are and you will see the deer that they are spooking

not always true...but thats what i find around here alot of times.

Default There is a product far better then ribbons or tacks

I use a product call invisible trail glow. It's new . You spray it on a tree and it's completely invisible to everyone even with a regular flashlight. You have to use a UV flashlight. No one knows where I am , it's like a road in the woods. You can spray a ton if it because it's invisible. It solves all the problems with tacks and ribbons. It's cool stuff . And it smells like vanilla. It's not very popular but I buy it on there website invisibletrailglow.com I also bought it on eBay. I tried to get it at Dicks but they don't carry it. Hope this helps

While I despise marking a trail to your stand, I despise even more those who would follow those trails and try to shortstop game going to those areas. There is a name for those people that I cannot say here!
