question about maxima weight-forward arrows

I am asking this question for my dad. He recently purchased half a dozen Maxima weight-forward arrows.Since the arrows were cut to accomodate an over-draw, are they just like standard arrows now? Or is the weight in the insert that the broadhead is screwed on?

RE: question about maxima weight-forward arrows

the weight forward starts about 1/2 way down the shaft.
his will still be weight forward when compared to a regular shaft, cut the same way.

Thanks Dave, as I'm not familiar with these arrows, I didn't know how to answer the question. That's why I love this forum, great guys like yourself. I see it took 24 hours for the question to be answered but good answer. Keep up the great work here and in your shop.:)

Thanks
Things are really heating up at the shop. I have now made it the first 6 months, a milestone I set for myself.

RE: question about maxima weight-forward arrows

I too went with the Maxima Hunter 250's. When I cut them however, I took some off the back as well. Anyone good at calculating FOC? I honestly have never given a hoot with this FOC stuff. I've always shot 100gr heads. If anyone wants to help me calculate mine, let me know.
