I built my own out of a 55 gallon drum.

Used the American Hunter timer and spinner.

Have had it now for 4 years with the original battery but of course it is a rechargable one and I have a solar charger on the feeder

My newer spin feeder is a moutlrie and its the best i have. It was $89 i believe. It hold 3-4 50lb bags of corn. I use a moultrie rechargeable 6vlt and replace it with a charged one every 3-4 times i fill it. In the winter i just swap it every time. The feeder has a hidden digital display with tons of options. This is the best for the money IMO.

I am prettty sure this is the model. http://www.moultriefeeders.com/productDetail.aspx?id=MFH-PHB30B

with details here----http://http://www.moultriefeeders.com/Pro-Hunter-Tripod-BD

As far as noise, I have my camera over it and the deer get used to it pretty quickly. This feeder also spreads the corn out really far(30 foot cir), which keeps the deer around. Also the lid on top is hinged and can be reached easily from the back of a 4 wheeler. Hope this helped.

I agree with the poster above, I own 3 moultrie feeders that run 2 timesa day everyday 365 days a year. They are 3 years old never had a problem. For 90 dollars I don't think you can beat them.

We have 2 by On Time Game Feeders we put up in the off season for trail camera pictures. We have the "Peg Leg" style that uses 2x4 for legs. We got them off of ebay for lke 80 dollars I think. They have great customer service too...one didn't shoot as far out as the other and they sent a whole new timer/spinning unit free of charge and we never even had to send the old one back!
