I climb quietly, and it takes about 2 min or less to go up 20'..

The long part is getting hooked onto the tree.

I take my time. I want to be quiet and I don't want to break a sweat!
I second this plus the main thing is to make sure the stand grabs and is secure before I move on. The last thing I want when I'm off the ground is for one section to drop or to not grab the tree when I put my weight on it. Talk about the noise....

I take my time when I'm raising the stand sections, but I also use my upper-body strength to cover as much space as I can with every step. Like someone else said, the hard part is strapping the stand to the tree in pitch dark, especially when I forget my headlamp[:@]
