season ends before it begings

I have seen a few post of guys who broke a leg a arm or something that ends there season . I did not expect it to happen to me . I was working on on my house removeing lath and plaster when it happened. I was useing a hammer to breack the wood of the wall studs. When a piece that is about 6 inchs long 3/4 inch by 1/4 thick. Hit is me in my right eye cuting it in two places. I got lucky it did not blind me. it hit me in the white area. But i can't focus my eye . And i fear that i will not be able to come opening bow season oct 1st . But i gussess the lucky thing is tomorrow i was going to buy my tags hunting lic. blind calls ect.. So i gusses i am glad it happen before i spent all the money to have it go to waste

I'm one of the injured, snapped Achillies..and I feel for you and thank God you'll still be able to see. Honestly, I think I'll take my injury over yours and I pray you'll get better....I do have to ask though, Dominant eye? I'm assuming it's patched as well...I'll probably be in a tree sometime with a bum leg....if I were you, I think I'd shoot opposite eye, or practice it...

Nothing stops us...lol

Good luck.

damn bigtime, that sucks bigtime. do you think you will just miss the opener, or your entire season? how long did the doc say it will take b4 u can see again? im honestly just glad to hear you arent blind, b/c then u could never hunt. does it hurt? or just iritating? last year i broke my ankle very bad, needed surgery and all that, and missed my annual hunting trip to WV, but i still hobbled around MD and killed a doe or two.it does suck. i hope your whole season isnt over.

Heal fast man!

I guess they were right when they say always wear safety glasses.[&o]

I'm guilty as well.

Sorry for your troubles. The eye is the fastest healing part of the body. I bet you will be good to go come Oct. 1st. Probably be healed up in a couple of weeks.

yes it was my Dominant eye right one. I thought about shooting with my left but unsure as how i could do that with a righthanded bow .

I hope i will get some of the season in but unsure yet

I agree with the no work after july i was thinking before i started i should get some safty glasses so i do not get dust in my eyes and get pink eye like i did two years ago three days before gun season started

then two minutes later wack. It hurt worst then getting wacked in the n*ts
