Rangefinders

I am thinking about getting a laser rangefinder. I've been looking at the Bushnell Yardage Pro 800 and Bushnell Scout. Has anyone tried either of these? Let me know any experiences (Good OR bad!)

Thanks!!

RE: Rangefinders

if you are using the rangefinder for bowhunting i think the pro 800 is a little too bulky the scout would be a good choice I use the yardage pro sport it is a good choice if you don't want to spend the money for the scout it is simple to use and compact but like i said it is up to you and the scout would be an excellent choice as well as the sport

RE: Rangefinders

I bought the scout this last season, and really like it. A buddy of mine has the Leica 800, whcih is 8x, where as the scout is 6x, and for the close objects, the 6x is better. But, this last weekend,he was having truobles ranging animals that were around the 600+ yrds. because it is very difficult to hold these things steady enough to range further objects. His does range in half yard increments, but to me, that is not necassary. I'm am glad that I go the scout. Very pleased with it.
