Default RE: 1st year in a treestand...

This is also my 1st year using a tree stand. The hardest part was getting used to limited space to shoot from. The safety harness is the key to it all. I practice leaning off the stand with harness on to get used to the feel and tell myself I'm not going to fall. Keep in mind I started leaning off the stand at about 3 feet above ground. I'm somewhat scared of heights, so starting low was helpful.
