Release Inspection

I shoot a TRU BALL release, that is about 5 years old. Does anybody know how long these things last?, or what kind of things you look for when it starts getting old?

RE: Release Inspection

I have used alot of releases and so far have never had one fail. keep an eye on the set screw for the triger tension. On the rope releases just watch for wear on the rope. I had a fletch hunter once that the triggerkept coming loose on. I used locktight on the threads to remidy it.
Right now im shooting a truball also. good release ;)some times the velcrow needs to be cleaned out a bit after years of use.

I also had a Fletch Hunter that would just go off when I'd draw.

Each time I thought I bumped the trigger somehow. I got into the habit of pressing my finger behind the trigger. When it went off again, I got a new release.

Other than that, I never had a problem with a release. I have been using my current release for probably 10-12 years.

Its called a Zero Gap made by HHA.

So I know they will last at least that long:D

I was just thinking. My release is probably closer to 15 years old.
