Turkey calls while deer hunting?

I been wondering if using a mouth call--maybe purrin/clucking would calm skittish deer down, while your are in a tree stand? Has anybody ever done it or know anybody who has?

I use one when i walk through the woods....if anything hears me walking they can associate it with a turkey because of the calling. IMO it works.

In my main honey hole there are no turkeys. I usually have a couple mouth calls in my pack but don't use them there.

Now in my hollow honey hole, yes, lot's of turkeys and I always have them handy. I don't talk to deer with them tho. I stay silent until I visualize a buck and then will talk to him with deer calls.

I'm going to try a mouth call this year, it worked calling deer during turkey season. It didn't work so great on turkeys, though. [:@] Maybe it's a confidence/curiosity thing for the deer.
