Moring phases

I was wondering how many peoplw get a kick out of all the morning phases of the wildlife. Around here in California, we have the gophers, lizards, birds then the deer start moving. As soon as the birds start I know time is near. What have you guys/gals noticed on the eastof here. (which is most people on this forum.

skunks, racoons and umm...freakin' skunks. The only thing that scares me about walking to my stand in the dark.

Usually the birds start the morning off and then you start hearing some leaves crunching and that get's you excited. Then you look very slowly and it's just the squirrels coming out for some breakfast. Once i was sitting in my stand and at first light i saw a racoon walking towards my stand. That thing started climbing the tree i was in to go to the top to get some shut eye. After throwing my water bottle at it, it decided to go find another tree. Darn coons can get nasty on ya!

In the spring i like to get in my turkey hunting blind really early because i love the adrenaline rush of that first morning gobble and then the huge sound of rushing wind when they fly off the roost!

First you'll hear the birds, and then you'll see anything from squirrels to deer.
