RE: Broadheads.

I have shot everything from thunderheads to muzzys and then expandables. I confess that I shot expandables to compensate for a poorly-tuned bow, which is a big mistake. From reading these forums I gained the confidence to properly tune my bow and avoid a trip to the pro shop. I agree that Muzzys are without a doubt the most popular fixed-blade choice for bowhunters. However, I decided that after I got my bow dialed in correctly I would try some new fixed-blade heads. I wanted a sharp out-of-the-package head that flew true. Once again I did some research and discovered the Slick-Tricks. I found nothing negative about them so I ordered 2 pks.

I have been nothing but impressed with these heads. They fly just like my field points (mainly because of a properly tuned bow), but the thing that impressed me was how sharp they are. Even after dozens of shots through my block target they were still sharp enough to ethically take down a game animal. I would never recommend that anyone try this and I will change out the blades before hunting season but I am just making a point. I can't wait to try them out ona Georgia whitetail in a couple of weeks. Try 'em - you won't be disappointed.

The only way I'll switch from Muzzy's is when they go up to 30 bucks for three...:(I refuse to pay 30.00 for 3 broadheads

I've used Muzzy and they performed pretty good. Sonics were good, except the blades went together worse than id hope. Im going for Slick Tricks this year!!

Yup, check their website. Can't find too many of them around though. They list at $35 per 6 on the site.

I wouldn't mind trying the Muzzy broadheads, but I'll wait until next year. I've already spent enough money experimenting and finding the right setup. Besides, I'm extremely happy with my G5 Montecs.
