thats a yearling she will lose them.
If she were a yearling...she wouldn't have them.
Zing! I was thinking the same thing. That's a fawn, born early probably. When the summer coat is still there, the spots are still there as well. When the winter coat comes in, they will be gone.

Thanks guys ! I'm very new to all this and have seen a few just like it. I thought the spots meant they are young but it just seemed too big to me to have been born this year. And as I said, there are at least two sets of twins running around that are much smaller and what I considered "fawns". Didn't realize how quick they grow.

oh darn... wrong again so you guys really are not professionals. Sorry again. No kidding. Around here a 1st year deer we call yearlings guess its just our slang? They are Fawns up till hunting season then when hunting starts they are yearlings we dont say " I saw a doe and 2 fawns" we say I saw a "doe and 2 yearlings" when we are out hunting I guess since hunting season is a month away they are still fawns?

So you're wrong.....again.....and again.....and you still want to berate US?

The way you ask a question around here goes a long ways to determining what type answers you'll get.

Gospel.
