guys sounds like he just likes what puts money in his pocket. i dont like the rage heads no big reason just that if they fly like field tips why do i need a practice head and why do the blade stick out 3/4" before deploying thats not much smaller then alot of fixed heads. but if that doesnt bother you then use them really most people will tell you to get the biggest cutting mechanical you can get to help keep from shooting right through the turkey.

Bows are largely personal preference. I didn't care for the x-Force myself... but Pete and his bunch are selling a lot of them, so somebody obviously thinks they are the bees knees.

As to Rage heads and turkeys... If that head won't make it through the wing off an x-force then there isn't much else short of a rifle bullet that would. You cannot tell me that with all the umph that a bow like that generates it will not go through a hollow bone the size of my index finger, but will blow through elk ribs and out the other side.... no way I'm buying that.

As to large machanicals and turkeys... I use hammerheads.... I'd like my arrow to stay in the bird... and turkeys don't hold still very well... My biggest fear is crippling a bird and losing it... with these heads its either a dead bird or a missed bird.

Don't have to go any further than Rob/Pa's results with that head and turkeys to get what I need to know.

I'd say they worked fine for him, last year.;)

As for the Bowtech comment......I wouldn't care if I was shooting a Hoyt, Mathews, or a Pearson. ANY representative who bad-mouths his competitor's wares isn't someone I want to deal with. Tell what's BETTER about your bow....and don't insult my intelligence (if you want my business).

Rage is a great turkey head because the will soak up alot of energy and stay in the bird. Friend of mine killed a dandy bird this yearr with a rage...out of his 50# longbow. Pretty sure the X-Farce shoots a little faster than a homemade longbow. The dealer needs to keep his mouth shut when talking about other companies if all he is going to be doing is bashing them. I spent my night last night shooting with the PSE rep that comes to the shop I go to, what an arrogant ass. Apparently that's what it takes to sell PSE. Most that I have contact with feel they have to immediately defend the product because the bows from the last several years have been sub-par. Makes it hard to have a decent conversation about bows.

Agreed and to further GMMAT's post, (thank you)

I shot the Rocky Mountain Snyper into my two KS birds and they worked flawlessly as they have on the last 5 bucks I've killed.

The Rage being the same head would be a perfect turkey broadhead specifically the huge holes it puts in them. I would have no quams about shooting birds with the Rage or Snyper as I've seen it done perfectly. Neither turkey made it out of sight.

I love "dealers" who push their own agenda.....misinformation, etc...how sad. Do us a favor, when this thread has run it's course, print it and take it in to him to lighten him up.

Nope, both my shots blew through the bird like butter, the second pinned the bird to the ground until it pulled itself off, ran 30 yards and expired. (Autopsy showed I split the heart in two). You'll be able to watch both kills on River Valley Game Calls', Vol IV of the HeadHunters series when it comes out next spring.

I guess the experiences I have heard about are different Rob. Everyone raves about them for deer, but I smoked a coyote with one, head was destroyed and yote ran off. It was a three blade and I know there have been problems with them, so that could attribute to part of the problem.

You know something thats funny.... the PSE rep for my area did the exact same thing.... rather than listing why a PSE would be right for someone, he lists why all the other companies are wrong... and most of it was purely subjective. While I know the guy, and he is a fairly knowledgeable bow technitian (but I wouldn't let him work on my stuff), he is also as you listed about your rep, a shade on the arrogant side.

I definately rate the two blade better than the 3...I've heard mixed reviews over the 3 and nothing but great things from the two, again, I used the Snypers and not the Rages.

I do know there is a recall on some of the Rages, The one with the rounded blades vs the squared off blades. The rounded ones are not deploying like they should.
