Good, inexpensive broadheads?

This will be my first year bowhunting and I don't know what is good to get in the way of broadheads. I'm looking for something that isn't very expensive... it doesn't really matter what kind of broadhead it is to me as long as it's reliable.

Thanks.

Muzzy 3 blade are great.
Would also recommend Muzzy's. Whatever you choose, make sure to stick with a good quality broadhead, you don't want to skimp on arguably the most important piece of gear for the hunt.

Broadheads are somethng you want to really be comfortable with..whatever you use make sure they are consistant as far as arrow flight. If you are shooting a newer/faster bow, you may want to try mechanicals..go with a big cutting dia such as a rage or rocket-2 inch blaster ..they are great and shoot just like field tips. Most come with a practice tip so u dont have to practice with the hunting head. They are a bit more but well worth the price. Do not skimp on broadheads..will cost you later.

I'm not using a new bow... I'm using a 1972 Bear Alaskan that I brought up to date with new cables, sight, peep, and rest.

I have been shooting Thunderhead 125's for as long as I can remember which either means I have a short memory or I have been shooting them for about 20 years or better...... what were we talking about again?

I would go with the Muzzy MX-3. Muzzy has a great reputation and the MX-3s fly very similar to field points in no - low wind conditions.

With that bow you can go with the regular Muzzy 125's and be happy. you really do not need any of the short heads and the old Muzzy is pretty reliable.
