That was pretty messed up!!! It amazes me how someone could mistake a person for a deer...
One of the reasons why Imake some vocal noises when I'm coming out of my stand at night and whyI turn my flash light on even if I can still see with out it...

I got shot at by some clowns on public land , coming out if a clearcut --at night!! They shot at the sound of me!!![:@]Thank the Lord they were using shotguns and I was still in some thick pines!!!

That's a sad story.
I use a red lense flashlight or a red LED light. If a person doesn't want to use a regular flashlight they should get one with either red LED's or a red cover. Deer can't see the red light but everyone else will.
