Why Aren't More Dual Caliper Releases Used?

I have been using a dual caliper release made by James Greene Products for the past year and have been satisfied. It supposedly accomplishes the same things as a string loop without requiring you to shorten your draw length or altering your anchor point. However, I don't see any of the "Majors" advertise dual caliper models nor do I ever read about them in bowhunting magazines. There must be a reason. What am I missing?

I've been shooting mine for several years now and can't make myself change. I agree, you get the same result as a string loop without the hassle.

WHY??? Because they're ugly as sin. Plus... they put a lot of wear on the old strings. With a loop you don't have that.

With the Gator jaw release you have its posible to put more torque on the string.Meaning 1 time it might be pulling more on the top of the nock next time it might be more on the bottom.Hard to get a exact draw everytime.Next time you draw your bow back move your wrist up and down you'll see what I am talking about.Hope it helps ya.
