Target or pin in primary vision?

What do you guy's have in your primary vision what you are aiming at or your pin? Meaning is your primary visual focus your sight pin or the target?

For me it's the pin, however I'm new to bowhunting so it's not for any reason other than it's what I tend to do. This is a really good question. I'm interested to see the responses.

Scot,

I always try to focus on the target and the pin is blurry.

If you focus on the pin it's hard to see what's going on with the deer on impact and I also think the pin moves a lot more when you try to focus on it.

I tend to agree with you Dave, especially so as my eye glass prescription has changed over the last couple of years.I seem to not shoot as well when I try to be to perfect with holding the pin exactly on the spot I am aiming at.I believe it causes more tension in the bow arm than there should be.

I focus on the target to get my alignment and then the pin for the final shot.

If this makes any sense. When I aim, my pin is in focus but my aiming focus is on the target.

i think i am actually ambioptrous because one eye focuses in the pin and the other focuses in the target.

Not to disagree with anyone!, I focus on the pin, leave my target blury, after many years of silloette shooting it is just natural for me to make better shots focusing on the sight.

I'm bumpin' this. I'd like to hear some more input from more of the experienced shooters out there.
