Well, I messed up. I think.

Hey guys, went to the new Bass Pro Shops in Prattville, AL today and, among other things, got a new dozen arrows cut to spec. I swore up and down my arrows were 26 1/2" from the middle of the noc to the insert, so I had them cut at 26 1/2". I was positive that was my length.

I get home and they are 1/4" shorter than all my other arrows. Turns out I've been shooting 26 3/4".

The new arrows still have clearance past the rest at full draw. Is there any reason why I couldn't shoot these arrows? Will it affect my shooting enough that I need to retune my bow?

As long as they are SAFELY in front of the rest w/ you broadheads attached, no. There isn't any good reason not to. You're only talking about 4 or 5 grains in weight difference......Not enough to make any real difference.

If you say there is plenty past your rest, there is zero reason not to shoot them like my friend mobowhuntr said.

Thanks guys. The insert is at least 3/4" past the first point of contact with rest.

I done the same thing about a year ago My dad pick up my arrows and I told him 28 when I shoot 28 1/2 because I shot 28 with my old bow. I've shot 28' ever since.

If you have a clearance of 3/4-1" then you should be fine. You do need to shoot to find out for yourself.
