Any NY hunters going to the Funanza?

The weekend after labor day the there is a bownunters funanza at Sugar Hill in Watkins Glen....not to far from the race track. This will be our third year going and it a great time. There are several 3D courses to shoot for fun or competition, raffles, food, and just a great time. If you have kids, bring them. My kids have a ball and each night they usually raffle off a bow for the kids.

Google Sugar Hill Funanza for more info....maybe I'll see some of you there!

Hey there lilcntrygrl . I'm here in Ga. but grew up in that area, Corning/Big Flats/Horseheads. My daughter is there in Corning now, actually she works at the track, so I am going to pass this onto her.She loves shooting my bow when she comes to visit andI'm sure she wouldwant to check this out. She's been wanting to buy one and this might help her make up her mind. Glad you posted it.

Tell her its a great time. There are a lot of women there, so it's not like she would be outnumbered. Heck, some of the ladies shoot a hell of a lot better than the men!!

Good to know it's still going on. I went to one over 20 years ago (before 3D targets![:o]) and it was a blast. We shot paper animal targets and scored something like 1 for a kill, 0 for a miss and -3 for a wound. If you came out of the day in the positives you were doing good.
