If you were going to lease land
If you were going to lease land for all around hunting where would it be?

RE: If you were going to lease land
I like all of them but reality of it is I will lease in Texas where I live.I couldn't afford anywhere else and can barely afford it here.

RE: If you were going to lease land
None of the above. I'd lease in Wisconsin because I live here and because of the true brutes that live here.

RE: If you were going to lease land
I would stay close to home and take some monster McHenry county bruisers. Boy do I wish I had a place near my home to hunt. I have seen some monster bucks driving to and from work this year.

RE: If you were going to lease land
I live in Illinois so I have access to family and friends ground. I selected Iowa, but also thought about Kansas. What do lease go for an acre up there?
For those that selected Illinois, I hope you have some deerp pockets. To lease ground with anything over 100 acres of woods is going to cost you $50+ an acre for prime ground. Finding a lease for over 100 acres of woods will require leasing over 250 acres total because the people include the fields in the lease. It's crazy the amount of money that go into leases. The farmers that own ground are sitting pretty. I wish I was around 20 years ago to buy up a huge chunk of land for dirt cheap. I'd be sittin on a gold mine right now! |
