Uh Oh
 

Well I took all your guy's advice on my form from the video and it worked great. My field tips are grouping better than ever and I feel a lot more confident in my shooting. So, I tossed on some of my Thunderheads to try them out since the season is coming up fast. Well, good thing I did because they are way off from my field points[:@]. They shoot almost 2 feet to the right and they don't group nearly as well. I only tried them at 20 yards because I shot one at 30 and I totally missed. Think it's a tuning issue, or should I just move my sights and hope for the best?

I'ld have your local Pro-Shop take a Look....take the bow in and shoot it and let them see.

hard right miss with a broadhead can be a weak spine problem(assuming your bow is paper tuned and pretty close). whats the specs on your arrows, points, bows...all of it...someone can run the numbers and see if you arent weak spined...

broadhead tuning is pretty important. once my bow is broadhead tuned it usually shoots great. isnt hard to do, just takes some tinkering...and proper arrows...

Ok umm... I shoot a Browning Yukon[:'(] it's at like 54 pounds and 28" draw. My arrows are Gold Tip XT's in 3555 with 100 grain tips. Anything else?

I shoot Thunderhead 125's, they shoot the same as my fieldpoints. What I did, which is probably not the issue, but I took my broadhead wrench and turned the broadhead where they were in line with my fletchings. I have heard that you don't need to tune broadheads but mine fly exactly the same as my FP. A friend of mine bought Crimson Talons and they would do the same thing as you are talking about but if I put my BH on his they flew true. There are more experienced archers on here that may have better advise.

i ran the numbers myself...seems like all checks out in terms of spine from what i can tell...should be close atleast..

myself....id head to the proshop and have my bow tuned. take your bow, arrows, release..everything...tell them it needs tuned...sounds like your rest is out of whack and your centershot is off...

Not sure if this is even valid but... My huntin' buddy had the same issue with his G5's and his spine ending up being way off due to the length f the arrow. He bought them used and they were precut.. to short. Anyway just at thought

Now doubt a tuning issue, if your numbers match up for arrows etc. either you bow is not tuned, your arrows are not tuned or both. Broadheads will let you know that.

Broadheads that far off has got to be a combination of weak spine and tuning. So, before you go hog wild, I definitely suggest trying to beg, borrow or steal some 5575's and giving them a try. Gold Tip's sizing chart does show 5575 for your draw length and poundage with 100 gn points.

If spine is part of the issue, and I'd almost bet it is, 5575's should get your broadheads much closer to your field points and then you'll be ready to tune.

Tuning issue
