Default Mechanical heads , who's best ?

I tried a search of the huntingnet site , but somthing is wrong and I cannot get anything . Anyway , I was hoping to shoot the Rage expandables this year . I cannot find 125 grain heads anywhere . I assume they aren't made in that weight . With that being said - Who's got the best 125gr expandable . I will not be shooting from a tree stand . Thanks .

I took nearly 30 deer with Rocket Aeroheads, and have complete faith in them... I also hear great things about Rage's 2-blade heads these days.

I've been hearing a lot about rage also... But if I was going to shoot expandables I'd shoot Grimm Reapers...

Rage is worth switching to 100 grain!

Greg,
Are you using the slammheads? Was just checking the website.
Also when you leaving again for your elk hunt?

Hey Tony... I took about 20 or so with the Miniblasters, and then started adding the Pathfinder tip to them. I think they finally started making that head in a production model later. The last ones I used had the same 1 3/4" cut, Pathfinder head, but had the little "L" wings on the tips of the blades to help leverage them open. I thought those would be helpful given the hole one of those Pathfinder tips might blow into the hide.

I don't think I ever had a deer make it past 50 yards out of all those kills with the Rockets, either.

I leave next Wednesday afternoon on my elk hunt... I've been getting everything out and ready and trying to make sure I don't forget anything! I've got a thread up somewhere on the first page asking for help.

Sounds good thanks for the response.
As for the trip one advice is to go find a hill near you put a back packon run up it once and see where you are physically. I use to live in CO and when I first moved there wow its a killer. Make sure you have some weight in that back pack also. Good luck and post them pics right away when you get back.
