Make your Gold Tips Straighter
 

Ive heard that if you cut your GT shaft at both ends it makes them even straighter than the tolerance posted on the shaft i shoot gold tips but have never bothered to try it myself have any of you?

They actually recomend doing that on the Gold Tip website.

I would do it with any arrows if it were me. It's just how carbons are made, that makes them a little inconsistant on the ends. I'll be doing it with my dozen Pro-Hunters when I go to cut them.

I cut all the arrows at both ends that I use and the ones I used to sell to my customers. I can tell a difference even when cutting the Expeditions. The Expeditions after cutting shoot more like the XT's and the XT's like the Pro's. Definitely works.
