Got my new bow...

After much research and trial shooting of many bows....I found my new bow :0).

This is smurphysgirl.......I shot a lot of bows and thought I was going to get the Matthews Drenalin. I did a bow shop search on yahoo yellow pages and came up with 15 bow shops in a 50 mile radius of our home. I called every one of them to see what brand, etc. they carried. I called one of the local Gander Mountains and the archery guy told me about the new bow that Diamond (BowTech) made specifically for Gander Mountain. He really "sold" the bow on the phone, telling me how smooth, quiet, and fast it was. So I really wanted to give it a fair chance and shoot it too, especially after hearing the salesman rave about it.

Of course my husband, wasn't so convinced about purchasing an off-brand. It's a Tec Hunter Elite-Guide Series. So Friday we went to 3 shops and I convinced him that I at least wanted to shoot it before I made my decision of what bow to get.

In a nut shell...I shot, I liked, he bought! I was really surprised that I found a better bow (in my opinion) than the Drenalin. He is STILL surprised at the bow. We went straight from Gander Mountain to our bow shop and had it sighted in and put all of my accessories on it. Saturday we went to a 3-D, I shot the best I've ever shot 256, and actually beat hubby on the last 15 targets.

These are my favorites about the bow Smooth, quiet, built in String Stop, smaller grip(compared to Drenalin), roller cable guard and fast (compared to the Micro Adrenaline that I have and was the same speed as the Drenalin).

Don't get me wrong the Micro Adrenaline was an awesome starter bow; because of practicing and shooting frequently from it I learned what to look for in the bow that I have now.

Anyhow, thanks for letting me share...I'm a LITTLE excited about the new addition!

That is awsome you found your new bow. Sounds like you are ready for the upcoming season. I visit Gander Mountain on a regular basis and have always just walked past the Guide Series bows without ever even thinking to stop and look. Guess I will have to take a peak next time. I have a few friends that might be interested since they don't want to spend the $$$$ of some of the other brands.
