Seasons End
 

well tommarow is the last day of the bow season here in Il.
what a bummer. now it will seem like 8 years for the next season. i will hunt tommarow and i will probably not see my ghost buck agin but i suppose he will be bigger and beter next year. i have been seeing all of his sign and have not yet got the oppertunity to see him. big time bummer. in fact i have not killed anything in the honey hole this year. seen some and been busted a few times but nothing in the freezer.
it is wierd i have taken 4 deer this year and nothing in the hole. my best year and nothing in the hole. i hope this is not the future. if so i will have to demand that my dad buy a new house or at least some more ground. LOL
i only own 10 acres and of that only 3-4 acres is woods and i killed 2 here and was only in the woods for 70 min.
the end of the season is always depressing. it is a good thing i have found this place. All of you have made my season. and i mean that. thanks!!!
i have a lot of hunting friends but nothing compaired to you. where else can you talk to your friend at 3:30 in the morning
well i am done sobbing now and i guess come thursday it is time to start scouting for next year and let me tell you there are some places that i cannot wait to walk through. it has just been killing me not checking them out. the ghost is getting ready to be figured the rest of the way out.

I know the feeling, my season ended Jan 5<img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>, now I have to catch up my my work around the house! I am already ready for next year!!!!

jimmya,Our season here ended also.Extended M/L and archery ended on the 12Th.It is one of the hardest times of the year for me.
I guess I will think about spring turkey season that might help.Good Luck to you next year Hope you get the Ghost buck.

jimmya, I don't want to be the barer of bad news, but today is the last day of the season. If you go out with your bow tomorrow, you may get in trouble. Pistol season opens in selected counties tomorrow.

my season ended jan 1st 2002. but actually only hunted sept.15 thru nov 31st. i took my share and then spent time with the family.

Have fun walking through woods. Wouldn't it be nice to find that ghost bucks sheds? Get him next season!
